Latest 10 of 11 purchases by filing date. Every Nancy Pelosi filing
Copying doesn't beat the index. Here's what does the work.
A filing tells you a stock was bought, weeks later, in a dollar range. It doesn't tell you whether the business is worth owning at today's price. That takes reading what the company earns and what the price already assumes, which is how we pick the companies in our member research.
Start with the free first chapter of our fundamental research course, or use the stocks Congress is buying as a list of names to research, not to copy.
Frequently asked questions
Does copying Congress's stock trades beat the market?
Not on average. Across 4,892 disclosed purchases bought the day after filing, 34% beat the S&P 500 to date, and the median copied buy is −9.9 pts against the index.
Does copying Nancy Pelosi's trades beat the market?
Copying Nancy Pelosi's 11 priced stock purchases the day after each was disclosed, 7 beat the S&P 500 to date. The median copied buy is +14.4 pts against the index over the same holding period.
Which member of Congress has the best copy-trade record?
Ed Case ranks first here, with a median copied buy +14.9 pts against the S&P 500 across 10 purchases. With dozens of members ranked, someone always comes first by chance, and many of their buys cluster in a few weeks, so treat the ranking as a reason to research, not a strategy.
How are these returns calculated?
Each stock purchase is bought at the close on the first trading day after it was filed, the earliest a copier could act, and held to the latest close. The S&P 500 (SPY) is bought on the same day. Prices exclude dividends. Every purchase counts equally because filings give only dollar ranges. Members need at least 10 priced purchases to be ranked.
Past results. Price returns exclude dividends, taxes and trading costs. Filings report amounts only as ranges, so every purchase counts equally and nobody's actual profit is shown. Holding periods differ by trade, from days to over two years. Compiled from US House Clerk and Senate eFD periodic transaction reports; snapshot generated 2026-10-03. Educational; not investment advice.

Congressional disclosures are delayed, ranged, and often a spouse. Members get the monthly call that treats those rows as one input, then names catalysts, risks, and what would change the view. $39/month or $249/year.
